Need advice on pet insurance?
I'm clueless on pet insurance..sorry.. My pet Beagle for 12 years recently pass away. It was very costly for me during his last when he was sick. Every time I go to the Vet. they charge me like $300 $400, it adds up to a couple of thousand. I'm planning to get a new puppy and not really sure if I should get pet insurance. Should I start now when my dog is young, so my monthly is low.? or will my monthly payment still increase as the dog grows old? Will they cover long term illness.. or cancer. Is there any catch with pet insurance that I should know about.. Thanks
What is a good pet insurance?
My Chihuahua is 6 years old and my cat 2. What is a good health insurance I can get for them? Both are healthy but I am just afraid one of these days one of them might end up getting sick. The problem is I just go and get anything that seems good, which some times ends up being the opposite. I want to hear from pet owners that have insurances and have good or bad feedback about them. How much is the average vet visit? and Is it worth it to get pet insurance?
I have inherited a Saint Bernard Puppy 7 months old . We got him 2 days ago and have a vet visit on friday just to get him caught up on shots and the regular wellness exam. I have no idea what to expect as far the cost of the visit will be i'm planning for the $200 range? Am I way off is it going to be more? Also does anyone have pet insurance and if so is it worth looking into? Which one would you recommend? I know alot of questions in one but I just need a little guidance. I most definitely want him to be vaccinated though we live in a area with ticks and I don't want Lyme disease its fatal. Also I have nursed a puppy with Parvo its a very ugly and painful thing for a dog to go through and if I can prevent it I will do that 100 %

I heard about VPI but they only rate 2 stars on Eopinions. Are there any good ones out there for dogs that anyone recommends? Good meaning there isn't much hassle when making claims.

I want to be prepared in case something happens to my dog, especially since I don't have a lot of money. I initially thought of opening a savings account just for him, but now I'm considering getting him pet insurance. Is it worth it to get insurance, or would it be a better idea to just save up money in case something happens broken bone, tooth extraction, stuff like that ? And do most insurance plans make you pay at the vet and then they reimburse you?
How to go about Pet Insurance?
I wish to buy pet insurance for my cat and my dog immediately once i get a job and start making money. My problem is that I am only 16. The questions I wish to find answers to are, " Can I have my mother get the plan and give my mother the money to pay for the plan, and then have it transferred over to my name with my pets once I turn eighteen? Is there any other way to go about all this? Or is it best I just wait until I am eighteen?" Personal Note I am hoping to get insurance for my small dog, Pixie, as soon as possible. I'm not sure how old she is, but it's obvious she's not getting younger. Always having been low on money My mother says our income is only like 6,000 a year. We've pretty much lived off food stamps and checks for her disability. , I was hoping, since I can finally start working, to make sure Pixie knows she's a spoiled little furry monster with a cozy place in my heart. And in that process, I was counting on regular checkups and pet insurance. She loves nothing more than being taken care of. < 3Also, having already lost one of my furry best friends because I couldn't afford the treatment she needed, there may be nothing more important to me now than being sure I can be there when my best buddies need me most.

Hi,I am getting a Purebred AKC Samoyed puppy. I am paying 1,200 dollars for her and I am going to show her to her championship. Both her parents have passed all health clearances. The breeder has a 2 year health guarantee on her.So I am not really worried about hip dysplasia, diabetes, etc. I will get her tested for these things at 2 and the breeder will refund me if she has a problem. But I am a little worried about accidents. I mean puppies run out in front of cars or run under horses without a thought. I also live on a farm so there are more dangers. She could drowned in the lake or get kicked by a cow. So I am thinking it would be good to get a accident only pet endurance. What do you think? I won't get the really expensive one that covers everything from check ups to cancer. I just want to get the accidents one that covers accidents, such as drowning, getting ran over, being bit by a snake, etc.What do you think?Do you have an insurance for your pet? how do you like it?
